Looking for a bachelorette party or girlfriend getaway experience outside of the traditional Ocean City scene? Head north to Dewey, Rehoboth, or Bethany Beach for a quieter, more relaxing weekend with the girls.
1. Dewey Beach
In Dewey Beach, you’ll find an equally-as-beautiful beach with less crowds and more space to find a spot in the sand just for you and your group. As far as daytime activities are concerned, you can’t go wrong soaking up the sun. Local companies such as Dewey Beach Parasail and Dewey Beach Watersports also offer activities like parasailing, as well as jetski, SUP, and kayak rentals.
For dinner, head to Woody’s Bar & Grill for crabcakes and burgers or Grotto Pizza, the well-known beach town chain for a great pizza and friendly atmosphere. If you’re in the mood for something lighter or want to watch the sunset while you sip orange crushes, head to Nalu Surf Bar & Grille and order a bowl of their famous nachos. In the morning, grab a breakfast at The Starboard before and have one of their creative Bloody Mary flavors and the “Hangover Helper” to fuel up before your day ahead.

Though Dewey is quieter than OC, there are still plenty of places to enjoy celebration cocktails and music. Rusty Rudder offers sunsets overlooking to bay and frequent bands, while Bottle & Cork has all that, plus a dance floor.
2.Rehoboth Beach
Rehoboth Beach, only a 10-minute drive north from Dewey, has all the perks of a beautiful beach, along with a boardwalk for afternoon souvenir shopping and a bucket of Thrashers fries. You can also check out their Tanger Outlets for tax-free buys.
Feeling a little crisp by early afternoon? Head to Bad Hair Day spa and grab a mani-pedi or a facial. This quaint spot offers everything from facials, body treatments, nail care, and more. After, take a walk around the cute downtown area for shopping.
For restaurants, Salt Air Kitchen is at the top of our list with a locally-inspired menu, seasonal produce, and organic meats. Seating right in the heart of downtown, it’s the ideal place to grab dinner and walk around the shops after. We advise making a reservation beforehand, as it’s typically a hopping spot. Arenas Grill & Bar in the center of town is another recommended spot, famous for their sandwiches, hummus plate, and mac and cheese bites.

Salt Air Kitchen offers locally-sourced menu items, a great wine list and is perfect for a girls-only meal.
Big Surf Cantina has the best margaritas around, according to our sources, so be sure to head to their tiki-style bar that offers live Thursdays through Mondays and find out for yourself. Dogfish Head Brewing & Eats is an awesome rainy-day hangout spot. Grab a table, an appetizer, and order tastings of their seasonal brews. Diego’s Bar Nightclub is the best spot around for dancing, with a relaxed atmosphere, friendly bartenders, and good music.
3. Bethany Beach
Bethany Beach has the best of both worlds with the beach and the boardwalk, in addition to kayak tours, surf lessons, and bike rentals from Bethany Bike Shop for only $19 a day. At night, head to Mango’s for happy hour prices, their signature mango margarita, and a top-floor ocean view, perhaps even featuring a dolphin sighting! Bethany Boathouse is another, more upper-scale, option with live music and refreshing drinks.

Grab your bride tribe and book bike rentals from Bethany Bike Shop for only $19 a day.
Head to 99 Sea Level for a fresh seafood dinner and stay afterwards for drinks in a high-end environment. Off the Hook restaurant is another dinner possibility with a large menu and raving reviews about pretty much everything on the menu.
Visit Beach Break Bakrie & Cafe for an early-morning, seaside breakfast.. Especially if you’re in the mood for one of their delectable baked goods at 7am. Speaking of a sweet tooth, Maureen’s Ice Cream & Dessert serves a variety of flavors for the perfect mid-day trick after a morning at the beach. Bethany Blues is a popular spot for brunch, dinner, and even late-night bites. They also offer over 120 different Whiskeys, for the hard-liquor bridge and her crew. Fishers Popcorn, another beach town favorite, is open until 10pm and perfect post-dinner snack or visit to fill up before hitting the road back home.
